the front yard might be a little soft, but it should be fine as we haven't gotten a ton of rain down here and it's suppost to be a gorgeous day...
I seldom use gorgeous to describe weather, I like all kinds and forms of weather, trick is to be prepared, since you garranting gorgeous, that a reminder for me to pack my ski coat just incase. Do you have enough roof or rain shelter for my laptop and stereo setup, for live LeMans coverage. I can pack a extra tarp and string for rain shed/ shade.

I'm not sure you can use vag-com to program the door buttons.. I'll have vag-com and vag-tacho so if you think we can do it, we'll give it a shot..

I'm hoping you can bring an RC3 chipset for a B4 with an FA ECU. I put RC2 in "The Family Waggin" which really helped it out. This would be for a 97 Sedan which is stock (it definitely needs the Rocketchip Grin). I'm not sure if I'll make it to the GTG yet but prob someone from the NE crowd could grab them for me if I don't make it down. I can Paypal or whatever works best for you. LMK
Thanks, Kevin

Someone? At least you know that the chips would be safe with me. My '96 isn't wired for the FA program, just the BK/GQ.
If you complete this deal with RC, and need someone to bring a pair of chips back, call me.

What's the prize for the farthest distance traveled? I'm looking at 7.5 hours (412 miles). I'll have to leave at 4:30 in the morning to get there for lunch.

I'm hoping that the guy that I saw on route 80 yesterday evening in Jersey (badgeless black mkIV jetta with a chrome tip mufflerectomy) makes it tomorrow - it sure looked like a nice ride and from what I could tell in traffic had a little something going on.

Does anyone know how to get in contact with Jeff from rocket chip? I feel like I am doing something wrong. Last year I called and left voice emails and sent e-mails. This year I'm trying to get my build on the move and its hung up on tuning! I've sent him e-mails and I'm just trying to get a tune. Does any one know how to get a hold of Jeff or know any one else?

Even though I had to leave around 5 pm, I had a great time meeting the guys, talking TDI, and getting the RC5. Thanks to Sammy, his uncle, and everyone else who set this GTG up for all of us TDI Clubbers. Hopefully, everyone still there is being safe.

Sorry that the Ted's Surprise started melting outside. Milk chocolate was a bad idea for such a hot day. I told Sammy to put it in the fridge, and it should be good as new.

Having the band there was a great touch. Good job Joe and others.

Yep - I made tracks shortly after 8 (with the freshly installed RC3 tune) and the place was in an eerie state of calm...... pretty sure that means that all hell was about to break loose, of which I will be witness to none.

With darkness will come the madness, i'm sure. Sammy, Jay and company - good on ya! thanks for another great day, and the turnout is certainly an indication as to how good an event this is.

My prediction is that by next year we're going to have to rent out the neighbors yard too.

I left at just about 10 - getting a little wilder, but nothing compared to the past (it is still early though!). Once again it was a blast. I didn't realize how much faster my car was until I entered I84 and got to row through the gears. Holy crap. Here's a couple quick pics:

Some pictures from the early shift, while the band was getting hot, the pig was getting hotter, the bonfire was still cold and Joe the cook/keyboardist was chomping down on a chicken thigh that Craig was holding up for him. (The little guy beside the cooler was going for ice, not for a beer!)

It was a great day. Many thanks to Jason, Sammy, Joe and the big crowd who showed up.

Had a great time!! Bubba and I followed each other up to 91 north. . .I am sure he made it home fine.

only bad thing about the Mercedes. . I had to stop for fuel :0

only averaged 27 mpg. . .I will look into that (I was going 80 with the ac on. . .)

Thanks to Jason, Joe and crew!! It was a great afternoon. Wish I could have stayed.

It was a great time. Thanks to our great hosts and Jeff @ Rocketchip. Met some good people while getting some voodoo magic on the ECU. :)
