Jetta took a dump

Good morning y’all! Car went into limp mode yesterday, mechanic texted me “Car has plugged egr cooler plugged egr valve and plugged egr filter. DPF is also plugged . Working on price and parts.” Last night. Do I have any options other than to replace all of these? Preferably that I won’t have to take a mortgage out for. Thank you guys!

Mods, please make this a sticky so I can easily point people here. When (not if) your CBEA or CJAA car flags the DTCs P2002, P0401, and sometimes P240F, and your car will have sooty tailpipes, YOUR DPF HAS FAILED. It is BROKEN. It cannot be cleaned. It will need to be replaced. This is the...
