Hi,

It was a pleasure to have a great day for the TDI Fest Show and Shine. I tried a new "Jekyll & Hyde" theme in which the "Jekyll" side is setup for the street and the "Hyde" (beast) side is setup for the track. I have not yet asked the spectators what they thought. I'm considering this theme for Ocean City, MD's H2OI in a few weeks. But there will be a lot more A3 competition in my class at this event. So I'd like to know what you show-goers think of this theme and what the "professional" showers among the group think:

I'm not 100% committed to attending H2O. But, if I do go, I'll show. I'm just not sure how folks feel about the theme. If I leave the theme behind, which is A LOT easier, I'll still set up the placards and trunk display.

Comments?

Scott

All I can say is that was a very immaculate A3! nice job.

If you really want the Jeckyll Hyde effect, I think you'll need to splash some dirt on half of her...

I was going to say the same thing - mud please. Other than that I loved the concept.

I'd agree; but the car is an autocrosser, not a rally car. :D It gets washed the morning of each race so the car and company decals look GREAT in those photos. :)

Thanks for the input. I suspect I'll save J&H for shows that are close-by or hosted on lots where I can use the jack. H2O is on the grass and it's too far to drive on my race rubber... especially if it rains. I haven't decided if this a place where I'd want to change tires on site then find a place to store the street wheels that's far enough from the car to stay out of the photos. And bringing SO MUCH STUFF to TDI Fest was a bit of a PITA. I liked trying something new. But I don't think I want to make a "habit" of packing that much stuff.

Scott:

Sorry I missed Sunday, thanks for the pictures though. Looks great.

I really enjoyed talking with you on Friday night. Perhaps at the next fest I can stay for the whole weekend.
