(J388) LR door no communication

Problem is on my 12 JSW. Ok so this problem started a few weeks back when I noticed the orange lock light was not illuminating like usual after the doors locked. Checked all the doors and the LR door had no lights and nothing would work. Unplugged the harness from the body and checked for corrosion or leaks and nothing plugged it back in and the lock button would work but no window functions.

Driving to work this week and noticed the orange light was lit looked back and sure enough everything is illuminated and window works this was the case for two days and then nothing again. Now we are at Friday the door is locked but no communication I pull the handle from inside to unlock it and now the car thinks the door is open. So today I pull the door card off verify harness is not shorted pull the door subframe and remove actuator assembly and replace with harness from my parts car window motor and lock actuator. Now still nothing but from what the Erwin manual states is the new module needs to be programmed.

My question is how with no communication. I am no coding expert with VCDS and from what I can tell the long coding is the same between the two. I have my old actuator and window motor dummied up on the old harness so I can swap them but still getting J388 no communication and the car still thinks the door is open.

Still trying to resolve this issue. Per the log its seems I am getting a lot of intermittent communication faults. I am wondering if this is possibly a larger wiring or ground issue. Any help is much appreciated. The radio faults are due to the door panel being disconnected at the time of the auto scan.

I think I would start with the CAN bus wiring from the CAN Gateway J533, fitted above the driver footwell, to the right of the steering column. Ensure continuity between J386 T20a/8 and /9 to J533 T20/15 (or/gn) and T20/5 (or/bn), respectively. The wiring diagrams tell us that the Comfort CAN bus has splices/crimps in the dash wiring harness, so make sure you have no sign of moisture here. --g

Thank you for the response @DrGERTol. Problem solved the orange lock on the driver front door harness was broken seems it was not getting a good connection, as soon as I put pressure on the plug it recognized the rear door. Changed the lock out and solved the problem. I suppose I should have started up front being as the rear door is a slave module.
