I just wondered if anyone is still in touch with John "Sooty" Reynolds from Redditch in the West Midlands... He was a big help to me getting started in TDIs 20 years ago & I owe him a beer! I went out in his infamous purple Mk3 Golf which had over 200k on it then at only 7 years old - I see it made 470k before being scrapped but on bodywork not engine I know he's not been on her much since then but may have the same phone no.
