Per the customer service rep I just spoke to there really is no timeline any longer. My docs were accepted 10-26. I am one that was counting 20 business days from 11-1 hoping for an offer in that timeframe on or before 12-2-16. Not sure that is even feasible at this point. An offer still could come between now and Friday, but I do not have and confidence at this point. I do have a VW financed loan as well. I know it will not happen, but I think any fines VW faces should be divided up between those that did not get what the were advised of in the claim process timeline.

Just stop it now. The terms are already decided and they are working on getting things done. There is little if anything you can do other than keep up with what needs to be done and wait. Starting new posts just to complain doesn't help you or anyone else. Call the attorneys if you have an issue and want to complain.

Totally concur. Whining about the same issue over and over again via new threads is beyond boring. Are these people looking for sympathy? Can't see any other motivation.

Feel free to post your complaints. Please just do it on one of the 10 threads that already exist with titles relating to exactly what you're complaining about.

Funny, that is what I thought the response would be from the mightier than thou patience crowd. I have an idea, if you don't like a topic, don't click on the thread. And if you don't like a title, certainly don't take the time to ***** about it with a response. If nobody has interest in responding it will eventually go away. For those that want to reply with concerns similar to mine you all need to relax just as much as I do? If a moderator wants to delete it have at it. Good Lord some of you!

What do you expect to happen when you post with a clickbait-y, and wrong, thread title? First, there was never a 20-business-day rule; there were two consecutive ten-business-day requirements (and yes, that distinction matters). Second, no, that rule isn't "out the window"; it's still very much in place. Yes, VW is failing to meet that requirement. We already knew that, and there are lots of threads complaining about it. The claims administrator found that VW had blown the timeline for nearly half of the offers that would have been due by 11/20; I expect that percentage is greater now. That doesn't mean the rule has gone away. We don't know the extent, if any, to which they'll be penalized for failing to comply, but again, that doesn't mean that the rule has gone away.

Not sure why folks continue to bash other folks that complain. I was complaining myself when questioning why the F can't VW comply to 10 Business Days stated in court documents. Surprisingly my claim was approved in a timely manner despite 1 doc was rejected but corrected the 1 doc to be approved.

***IF you want to counter my argument with "Oh well VW couldn't handle the volume of mass claims".............VW is just like any other big buck corporation...Just suck it up spend the big bucks on having more than enough man power to handle mass claims, in that way just maybe more folks would stay loyal for another VW Replacement.

For the folks that complain, INCLUDING ME......Are you jumping ship to go another brand?

Follow the money. It's always about the money.

The underlying motive with the whiners and their continuing whine is they want someone to force VW to give them more money because they are entitled to get what they want when they want it. A little delay has made them very angry and even more greedy than usual.

It sure is....Its all about the green paper.....in my case, I hope to have the money in a fast, organized, secure manner through EFT when I do decide a date for my turn-in.

My whole thing now on forums is for all the folks that are stuck with the hurry up and wait and never getting clear cut answers from the hotline.....I just try to spread propaganda to not buy another VW again hahahaha

OK, 20 days is wrong thanks for the clarification. My documents were completed on 10-26, thus starting my first 10 day window. My claim was approved on 11-4, thus starting my second 10 day window. Confirmed and verified by a class action attorney. At the very latest I should have received my final offer by 11-18. That was the end of my two 10 day windows based on the court order and the date Ankura audited my claim. However, since I am a nice guy, I was giving VW the benefit of the doubt and giving them the full 20 days from 11-1, their supposed start date. That 20 day period or two 10 day consecutive periods end on Dec. 2nd. A VW claims rep said today on the telephone that there are no longer any timelines based on the backlog. Sorry my original post was not specific enough for you, I just thought it may simplify it for others that are not as intellectually superior as others on this site. The great thing is, VW still has 48 hours to send me a a final offer within the 20 business days, errrrrrrrrr...........two consecutive 10 business day requirements. Probably won't happen!

Go to the managing lawyers site and/or email them your gripes. They may get you some results whereas here it will do nothing but clutter up the place with complaints and more complaints. Why do you think threadzilla was created initially? Just because of people who had to complain where it does absolutely no good. Complaining just to be complaining serves absolutely no purpose. Maybe they should start a "I have a complaint post it here" thread and consolidate all the useless complaints with no other relevant or wrong info there. Or people could just use some judgement and common sense and post in one of the existing ones without having to be forced into it. Things will happen when they happen and no amount of complaints here will change that.

If they couldn't make the deadline they shouldn't have agreed to that. They signed the agreement but haven't met the deadline. I have a loan with VW that says I pay them 452 dollars on the 5 th of the month for 60 months. You think if I didn't pay that they would say no penalty for you I am sure you are busy.

Plus from what I have read about the few buyback that have occurred they have handled them pretty badly. I do think owners who's deadline has past should get additional compensation and VW should have to pay additional fines to EPA as well.

As of a week ago I was ready to buy another VW. Now I am probably looking elsewhere .

Maybe he will get banned for a few days for calling people Nancy and saying we are B****** just because we don't want multiple threads on our front page about the same thing. I mean inciting an argument is all he's doing after his original post. Our mods are great at catching that and banning people for doing so.

It helps to listen someone's complaint and be supportive.

The forum probably should hire a professional counselor and set up a separate thread for the complainers so that they can receive supportive feedback and psychological counselling for their mental state. Maybe that course of action will make them feel better?

I have talked to 2 different class settlement attorneys and emailed one. I am spot on with my timelines. They are communicating with Judge Breyer and pushing for penalties against VW. They suggest we continue to wait. Should that make me feel better? It does not, but I will continue to wait.

Funny! Certainly the mods have better things to do than to ban people who are complaining about the complainers who are complaining about the complainers??? There would be no debate if you all would stay out of the thread. Let the rest of us sulk in our misery. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.

Next time you start a thread use the words 'Yet another complaint-based thread. If you are happy, AVOID READING AT ALL COST.

Maybe all complaint-base threads should be in blue to provide additional warning.

There doesn't need to be a debate, you started that with name calling because people asked you to not create yet another post of complaints. I mean you really are just trying to incite an argument. Everyone else that posted was only asking you to not create a new thread. Obviously just go ahead and do what you want. Congratulations, you've complained and then complained. I've complained, but on one of the many threads that exist already. Did you get your check yet? Didn't think it helped either. And now I'm adding to this thread being front page so, say what else you want, I will not read nor comment so this can hopefully move to the second page. I will say your post was worth reading for sure. Just on a thread that exists.

Well, my time line worked out within the 20 day period, so I guess it's not out the window?
