Is this fuel squirting out of the injection pump normal? (video attached)

Yes, it is normal. That's just a banjo fitting, but between that and the pump is a check valve, so the fuel can't go back into the pump.

Because I am trying to diagnose and sort out a poor running condition that might be fuel delivery related.

What would be more useful is testing how much fuel is returning from the injectors. There is always some return flow but excessive amounts indicate worn nozzles.

That is oddly satisfying to watch though.

Some degreaser and a garden hose will take care of that. It’s not like it’s going to be an instantaneous issue… I wouldn’t sweat it.

I agree. It's nothing so long as it's washed off. I just use Dawn dish soap and a hose. Never had an issue.
