Is there an easier fuel filler cap?

My wife's finding the fuel filler cap harder to turn (2004 TDI) and is sometimes using pliers etc ... are there caps which are easier to turn, maybe with a wider grip or something?

Maybe just get a new one and see if it's better? They're not expensive.
