Is my fuse box cover broken after recall?

I just got the fuse box recall done and realized my cover is not held down at all. I've never opened it before so I'm just wondering if this is really broken? First pic is the rear tab, the second is where I think there should be a tab in the hole.

All turned back to VW. Now a 2017 Hundai Tuscon. Not a single squalk in 10k miles.
Do you often have a ham-handed gorilla service your car? Broken? Ya think?!!!!

Yupp...broken. Obviously the tab is there to secure the top. If your dealer needs proof, have him show you the identical part on a car on his lot.
Hope it's a "no-brainer" for the dealer to replace it, although you've already been serviced by a "no-brainer".

Mine is also broken, exactly the same. Noticed it when I replaced the cover when looking for a place to hook up my battery tender leads. This was some time after they did the fuse box recall. I don't know if they broke it or I broke it, but they said that VW won't warranty it since it's not a manufacturing defect. Sure looks like a defect to me, but whatever. Didn't feel like arguing at the time.

Sadly, mine is broken too but I did it myself. The tab is pretty brittle, you can see how coarse that fracture surface is in the picture.

Cover? I just pulled the trim panel off to look at the fuse box today and there was no cover at all (i.e. pull the trim panel and you are looking at all the fuses)! Is there supposed to be one? And does it include a listing of what the fuses are?

^^^The discussion is about the underhood fuse box, not the fuse box on the side of the dashboard.
