So I've been on the phone with Chris at Fast Enough Performance - the guys who did the dyno at last year's Fest and at the Lake Mills Fest several years ago. They're willing to bring the dyno up for a day, so I'm gauging interest... I need to respond to him by the end of the week with a final answer.

The idea would be to do a five hour dyno session on Saturday morning in the hotel parking lot and another 4 hour dyno session on Saturday evening at Kart 2 Kart.

Each car will get three (3) consecutive runs on the dyno (no changes in between runs in order to keep the line moving). You can sign up again if you want to do some work on your car and do three more runs (perhaps after chip tuning, for example). We're looking at three runs for $65, two sets of three runs for $110.

Please respond to the poll included in this thread. This is all up in the air at the moment, so prices and times are subject to change.

There are just too many to list....
Sounds like fun, even though the only thing that will be impressive about my ALH is its strange lack of smoke. :D

I should mention that we need 40 people to make this happen - same number as last year. :)

I voted no as I would not be interested personally, but you wanted a response.

There will be some stiff competition if Sprocket brings his B5.5 passat.
If NoJoke or Foukhest make it out, it'll be a duel between them haha.
I don't scare easily. A PD beat me last year, lets see what the VE can do!

I'm definitely in for some time on the heartbreaking dyno with the B5.5 :D

I voted for one series of runs, but might do two.

I might be but as a green-horn and with only 2200 miles on my 2012 Golf TDI, not sure what I will gain from participating. Really hoping to learn more while I am there but until then I am buried up to my *ss with just work and life ;-) as I am sure everyone else...

In the early stages of ownership but hope to continue to squeeze miles out of every drop of fuel.

Anyone who is interested, please vote in the poll thread! I need to let the Dyno guys know on Monday so they can make plans!

Also, get your hotel reservations in before the 8th.

This looks like it's going to happen. We're dotting the I's and crossing the T's to make sure we're covered in terms of liability wavers, insurance, funding, etc.

More updates tomorrow... keep your eyes peeled!

FYI - If everything checks out and the dyno is a GO, you will need to sign up for it on our registration site. More details to follow.

Well my high hopes have been smashed. The dyno won't be happening this year because the communication channels seem to be a one-way street.

My apologies to anyone who was really looking forward to this!
