Hi. I searched and couldn't find an answer here.

Is there anybody who went from stage 3 to 3.5 and can tell me how the intake flap delete on the 3.5 effected their average fuel economy?

If its a big difference then I don't see the reason to do it for a few extra HP.

TIA.

If you're referring to your ALH, I'd leave it. I have a stage 4 Malone with the ASV in place. If I were to hop on the freeway, I average 42mpg.

Intake flap AKA swirl valve. NO, the ALH doesn't have an intake flap. I sold both my ALH cars and now have a 2014 Cruze CTD and 2010 JSW.

The swirl valve is on the 2010 JSW TDI and that is the one I'm asking about.

You might want to update your vehicle info then, or list your car in the title or body bud, good luck on your search.

I think most people on here know there is no intake flap on an ALH. That is your first clue that this is a 2.0.

The second clue is that there is no Malone 3.5 tune on an ALH.

Some have referred to the asv as an intake flap by mistake. I guess that's what I get for assuming with your outdated info.

You may want to try that question under the model specific thread or put the year and model on your thread title. I thought the same thing Nero did and almost didn't bother opening the thread.

Bumping this up again. Anybody have any real data on this? Nothing gained in the MkVI sub-forum.
