Installed the lights on Friday, CECM on Saturday, and finished up the last bits of coding today, quick photo from today. Easily one of my favorite mods...maybe even my favorite? Though call between these and the coils. Absolutely love them. :D

Thanks to KIX for helping me source the parts, and aenea for help with the coding.

Damn you and Kix both. I'm working on doing the same thing with the LED DRL version. How about a bit more info?

after that, i don't think there is anything you could possibily do to improve your car.

That looks great.
It was a toss up between headlights or Votex kit, votex kit won as of right now.
Headlights in the future but its still expensive even at my price.
Sweet mod, and the car looks great.

I like the rails, but I've got some improvements up my sleeve. Doing the research for the next phase. Headlights are just in the mean time to keep me amused while I'm hunting down parts and waiting on a few new things. Big brakes are a good idea. I've been looking at transplanting monoblocks from a Cayenne front and rear. Very overkill, I know, but it's cheaper and not much heavier than the 911 brakes which are about right sized. Also, Rick needs to do the GTI front bumper and fogs already! If I was doing that though I'd add the Euro lip and Votex around the sides and back.

If you don't mind me asking (or sharing) about what did the mod cost you?

now that we have one vehicle with HID, would love to upgrade the JSW!

Impressive. The Xenon's really nail the aesthetic of the JSW. It makes me want a JSW now! :D

Were you able to simply copy-n-paste your stock CECM code into the Highline one, or did you have to fiddle through VCDS bit by bit?

Cheers,
Ryan

Man, that looks so sharp!
Thanks!

A detailed how to would be great!
I basically used this thread for the physical install, and this one for the coding.

:D I gave the LED version some thought, but ultimately passed.

Nice looking ride.
Thanks!

Wow! great looking car and beautiful picture.
Thanks!

lookin real good!

Thanks! I think I'm going Votex next. ;)

Big breaks on my list too. :D Pulling the plug on the GTI frontend, I'll update that thread next, with the why.

Mostly copy and paste; had to do one simply bit code, and manually clear some error codes/recode the key and tpms.

what % tint do you have on that thing?
20% on the back half, nothing on the fronts or windshield. I'd like to add 35% on the two fronts.

Oh, forgot to ask, did you get the Kufatec harness for the auto-leveling?
Not yet. I have the leveling motors installed, but I need the senors, harness, and someone will need to figure out coding...

HOT. Ride height and wheels match excellent too. Thumbs up!

I didn't notice the side markers being gone 'til now. Shaved, P-shop, or painted?

Thanks.

Side markers are just cloned out for the pic; I don't have lens in at the moment as they are out for color-matching, along with the rear reflectors, and I figured the open holes would ruin the pic.

Gotcha. Painted side markers are definitely in my future too. They clean up the car nicely. Who is doing yours?

A guy on vortex that does a bunch; my painter has been slow, so I'm giving him a try. It seems like lots of people have been happy with his work.

Quick photo my a$$! Looks like an HDR....

Love the car Rick!
Hey now, no HDR here. Both regular photos with some adjustments to levels and a gradient filter. Just a few minutes of post-process on each. But okay, I'll admit they aren't a simple point and shoot. ;)

Thanks for the compliment. :D

Ha ha I knew it....great shots and a great ride! Inspiring...I have to get some shots on mine this summer....will start playing with HDR's once I get a tripod....the outcome is stunning from what I have seen...
