Correct. It's not the electro-mechanical steering rack.

It would be good to get the tdi numbers, but don't expect it to be very fast.

Skidpad and slolam shouldn't be much different. Insideline tested the GTI and the TDI Golf beat the GTI with faster slolam speeds.

True...I was thinking 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.
The TDI may outperform the V6 on tests other than those 2.
And it will kill it in mpg.

Just a guess here, but maybe it had something to do with better engine braking thanks to the DSG. Not having to take your foot off the GO pedal has its advantages.
