Implausible Signal

I was wondering if anyone has come across a code -17911 Load Signal from Alternator Term . DF. Implausible Signal ? My alternator was replaced by VW at 60 000 km's ( 250 000 now). It is not throwing a CEL but it is
showing up with vag com.

Clear it and see if it returns. Probably forgot to do so at the dealers before they gave you your car back.

The codes have been cleared several times for differerent issues but this keeps coming up.

OK, I searched the site and didn't come up with anything useful other than a bad connection. Finally I found this on a Seat site. Looks like there is a wire from the alternator that puts out the alternator light in the dash and signals the ECU. On some cars there is a bad connection in this wire.

Thanks Whitedog ,I will take a look at my harness and see if anything shows up .
