Less than 24 hours to go!
How is the weather down there? The Boston area is forecasted to get some heavy rain late tonight and into Saturday AM. I'll be driving thru it on the way for the first part of the trip. It should have already come through the MD area and be totally gone from ImpexFest by tomorrow morning.

I'm leaving the 535d at home and coming in the X5d.

The rain is gone and the sun is out. I can finally wash the jetta.
NICE!! Should be nice tomorrow too!

I love the first day or two of good weather after a major storm system has come and gone. It does a good job of cleaning the air out.

Seal it up so it doesn't spew everywhere. Impex might have a replacement in stock.

I had a great time! Thanks to Paul and Doug for setting this up... It was good seeing everyone and seeing the great changes happening at Impex!

51 MPG on the way up and 54.7 on the way home! Not bad at all. :D

It was a good turn out. It was nice to see everyone. Thanks to Paul and Doug for setting up this event up. The Impex staff was very helpful to fill my parts order.

On the way to Va I saw four people on the side of the road with flats in Ma :D

Really glad I made it down - nice to see the new set up, meet new people and see some repeats. Special thanks to the organizers and also to the vendors who supported the event.

Wow, what a great bunch of TDI folks we met Saturday. I'd been a casual observer at past events (non tdi owner) didn't totally relate to the passion/devotion/obsession of mpg and diesel performance. But it not just mpg/performance why TDI folks traveled long distances to attend this event. For the most part it was to share their love/experiences with their TDI's and catch up on whatever.

Not sure what the best part of the day was but I'll pick, cars in the air. What a great way to advance ones ability having TDI'ers around assisting with the best way to do X. Something as simple as jack points, brake flushes, compression testing, timing issues to diagnosing certain noises.

Perhaps a goal for next year might include a few levels of experience for trouble shooting and repair or using VCDS/VagCom. We'll need some input and volunteers/experts its never to early to formulate ideas and work toward the next gtg. I would also like to hear from local folks about gtg/diy sessions. A goal here is to increase knowledge/skill level through diy sessions.

Thanks to all the vendors that attended, thanks to the TDI'ers who contributed food (especially the thin mints) and drink. A special thanks to Paul for his time spent helping to organize. I did want to thank you in person but like the horses you took off pretty fast.

In closing we still have several limited/collector edition 2014 TDI Fest t-shirts in various sizes give us a shout to claim yours.

The last couple events we had VCDS class held by Compu85(Jason). He couldn't make down this year.

You're welcome! I'll see you a little later in the week. I left my MityVac up there on Saturday.

It was great seeing many familiar faces, but especially great to meet many new ones.

After this winter in the northeast the Jetta finally got a chance to stretch its legs.

Despite have been to many previous ImpexFests on the day of the Preakness, I never realized how close Pimlico is especially when driving through the I-695 and I-83 interchange. I listened to the call of the race on AM 1090 but perhaps I just need to roll down the windows.

Looking forward to next year!

Great Time

Thanks to Alex at Impex for his help. Also, as always, to Jeff for working his magic on my car! I want to apologize to TOMO 366 for asking $20,000 for my Passat. Now that Jeff fine-tuned my ride, the price has RISEN to $25,000!

Doll jacks are for moving broken/unfixed cars I don't think they're allowed. Or are they for just in case? Also, there were 2 items found 1) slightly used gal of oe coolant 2) special bottle opener (ProSol) attached with a small led flashlight (ISR Group).

The flashlight was mine, but no big deal, I have 8 of them and it's kind of a long trip back just for that LOL. Oh, I also forgot my TDI hat on the Black Tool Box next to the Lift :-( Oh Well, I'll have to buy another when at TDIfest this year...

Thanks all for the Fun, Food and Friends, had a great time, hope to see some or all of you at TDIFest in a few months and I'll be back next year for the next ImpexTDIFest.
