Not sure which car we will be in but suspect it will be in the 535d.

I plan to bring VCDS and would be available to help others who need their car(s) scanned.

Hi folks. I'm in Baltimore and am new to the TDI scene. I've been a long time Jetta owner, but recently purchased a 2010 Jetta TDI. I'm loving the fuel economy vs my older non diesel 2.0T. I'd love to attend this event and get some tips from all you pros. I'm pretty new to this so I'll gleam as much info and help as I can. If possible, I'd love to get looked at for a performance tune. Thanks, sounds fun!

If it's a performance tune you want, get there early, as Jeff's sign-up sheet fills up pretty quickly.

Looking forward to meeting you!

Updated. We're a month out, so I'll start a food thread tomorrow. Sticky when it shows up, please.

Please sign me up

I would like to attend. Please sign me up. This will be the first time at this event and have been getting all my parts/fluids at Impex. I would like to have my brake fluid flushed/changed and my headlights polished. I hope someone can give me opinions on rattling noises at idle and after kickdown/letting off the accelerator pedal. My car now has almost 140K on it and has been pretty much trouble free but noises concern me and want to keep it as perfect as I can.

Does anyone have an idea of a WAG as to how much dent removal and rim repair would cost ?

Thx!

I am interested in a bit of PDR. I have a small ding on the top of my passenger fender, very minor but annoying. Depending on this guys pricing I might be willing to have him work it out.

Tim offers us special pricing for the event, but it is a cash only deal. He raises the craft of PDR to an art form. You will not be disappointed.

Count Me In

I wanted to come out last year and missed it.
Count me in for Dent Wizard, Jeff update tune to the max for a Triptronic Auto trans and VCDS pointers.
AND add me to the paint touch up list!

Any 2.0 CR folks w/a stage 1 or 2 and/or DSG tune going? I would love a ride-along in one to see how the tune affects the performance. After driving my other cars, every time I get back into my JSW my mind is blown at the lethargic feeling DSG response. Thinking the tune would resolve the issue but need to experience it to be sure.

DSG tune here, no engine tune. It's a Passat though, so not really a direct comparison.

I'm pretty sure it would be a close comparison, same engine/transmission code pairing with maybe slight gearing differences. I helped a co-worker of mine car shop a couple years back and when his wife drove the Passat TDI DSG she didn't like the "lag" the transmission had so they ended up buying the 3.6 VR6 motor because it was more responsive. I drove it for a bit and it had the exact same feel as my JSW.

They have since traded that passat on a new Mazda6. Hated the MPG's the VR6 got.

What color is your passat? I wouldn't mind checking it out if you'll let me :). I'm in a bright-red JSW w/35th anniversary GTI wheels & R20 headlights.

The Passat has a different engine and turbo - the powerband is about 300 RPMs lower overall.

Passat is blue... you're welcome to check it out.

DSGs are inherently a bit sluggish off the line because it's basically a manual transmission engaging the clutch and shifting gears automatically.
