Well it's February...this usually happens in May....Doug wasn't sure if was going to do the Impex GTG anymore....Paul are you going to ask?

I hope they still do it. I'm looking forward to it. I'd like to visit the wheel guys for minor touch-up work. Does anyone recall what they charged to fix wheels at last year's event?

I heard back from Wil at World Impex and there will be an Impex TDI Fest this year. He asked for suggestions for a date, so let's hear some...
Some time in April or early May would be best.

end of may so I can get the transmission fixed, headgasket replaced, and compound turbo tuned prior to showing up.. and after I get back from eu too

Hoping I can make the date settled on by the rest of the forum (I'm out of town for work related training the second and third weekends in May). It would be my first TDI gtg and I'd love to meet some of the community. If I'm not working I'm definitely gonna make plans to attend.

I'm certainly interested. I'm sad I missed TDIfest in Maine this year, but at least I made it to Waterfest.

There is no comparison between TDI Fest and Water Fest.......TDI Fest is mostly Mature Adults.....

That's why I've stayed away from some of the events (VW or just general shows) in my area. H20i isn't that far from me. But the element it attracts just isn't what I'm looking for. I'm not worried about the police hassling me about my car but I like my job and pictures of me showing up online at a rowdy event would not look good to my employer (guilt by association sort of thing).
TDi Club events definitely seem much more my speed as most of the racer boy crowd probably aren't driving TDIs and as you said most of the member here are older and know to save the antics for the track. Really hoping I can make the Impex gtg and take the road trip to TDI Fest if it happens and I can get the time off work.

I definitely understand wanting to stay away from the rowdy kids at Waterfest (admittedly I'm only 27), but it was very cool this year because we had our own diesel drag class. 4 of us tdiclub members met up and we all had slightly different CR170 set ups. We ran against a kermatdi car as well as a couple older tdi's. That itself was a good bit of fun.

Waiting to hear back from Jeff regarding his availability. Food will be the same as the past two years. Impex will provide pulled pork and brats. Attendees will bring chips, salads, drinks, etc., etc.

Lisa and I are IN for ImpexFest2016 provided it happens on a weekend in May. We have a conflict on Saturday 4/30. Any other weekend in April would work too.
Now let's see...which car to bring, the 535d or the X5 35d??
