I miss the days when you could see who the reply was to. People didn't always use it, but at least there was the option.

Are you referring to me?

As someone else stated why would I be refering to you? You didn'tmake the post. You didn't have anything negative to say. Paranoid?

IMO, if you are in the loop with a number of businesses, say VW parts or repair, Porsche service/parts or any other 'circle' whare ppl share info, soone or later you will hear bad about every one of the vendors in the group. One has to judge the severity and frequency of the complaints and the ratio of 'good' rumors to 'bad'. Then you try the ones that seem best and then go with your personal experience.
As Dave said, it really is the way problems are dealt with, not the fact that they WILL occur.

I've never dealt with IMPEX as so far thier prices have been beaten elsewhere with a similar level of service. Isolated, trivial complaints like this will not stop me from trying them in future if the spirit (or a sale) moves me.

Cost of the part MINUS 10% and no credit for the outlandish S/H fee.
10% is the restocking fee if you haven't figure that out.

I believe that is spelled out somewhere in one of the screens when checking out. I knew about that and I think it is quite common. I see that all the time with computer parts. I order a lot of computer parts online.

I have order a lot of parts from IMPEX. A lot of times and they have been great. Even after I realized that I screwed up my order, I simply call and give the order number to cancel so I can place the order again correctly. Not bad staff to work with deaf people.

I have ordered all routine maintenance items (oil, filters etc.) from Impex and have been pleased. I remember once there was a minor issue but 1 phone call was all it took to get it resolved. They seem to run a good operation.

I will soon be ordering my 40,000 mile maintenance kit from Impex as well as the Bentley maintenance maunual. To John and all the folks at Impex as well as the rest of the TDIClub vendors who treat us so well, I say "Thanks!"

I've ordered the ALH filter kit twice, as well as a replacement glowplug harness. Fast, fair service. I'll order from them again.

I buy thousands of dollars worth of parts a year. I get them from 3 different vendors and Impex is one of them. I have yet to have and issue if a part was bad. I had a turbo that was bad and all that happen was I called them and they sent me a new one and call tagged the bad one. I had to pay for the second one they sent out and wait for the bad one to be verified by Garret before warranty was issued. Was it was determined it was bad they refunded my money. Yes it took a little time about 2 or 3 weeks but they made it good. I think he was lucky to even get a refund on electical parts. I can't think of anyone that will do a cash refund on electrical parts.

A disgruntled consumer for sure with a legitimate beef. SHould he have brought it here? I don't think so, but he obviously feels differently about it. We don't know the whole story nor do we know what channels have already been persued.

I may be wrong here, but my seat of the pants guess is that he won't reply to this. Just spew his anger and move on.

I thought it was funny that he said this because I saw it as the same as someone coming on here and badmouthing TDIs in general. He sure got the same response. :)
So far, so good.

I just want to mention that the original poster started a flame war and we all got burned for it.
