IMMO problem

Long story short...
In 2002 converted 2001 Golf TDI stock cluster to Euro cluster - added the stalk etc...
Two weeks ago I buy a 2002 Jetta TDI and have severe brain fart by just pulling the cluster from the 2001 Golf and sticking it into the 2002 Jetta and took the 2002 cluster and plugged it into the 2001 Golf. Holy scheisse - both car immdiately activated the immobilizers!!! Swap clusters back as was - Disconnect battery on both cars and got Jetta to drop immobilizer (Airbag light is now on but it does not pose a problem) - the Golf still trows the immo. Disconnected battery on Golf for extended time, touch pos/neg for 10 seconds without success. Help........

Sorry for the obvious, but you did do the swap using VAGCOM? If not, then you have lost you soft coding. Can you give more details?

Yes - Used the VAGCOM at that time but do not recall to many details except it took about 3 hours to run all the wiring - the reprograming only took a few minutes but can not remember the individual who did it for me....
