Well, I test drove the Subaru Impreza Premium (5 door because they didn't have a sedan handy) last night and now I'm even more undecided. The interior on the 2017 still felt cheap, and the steering was kind of tight. In fact, it felt like the tight "autocorrect" steering on the Honda Civic that I test drove. The car itself was light and small, but it was overall just kind of a meh appliance with nothing special about it other than AWD.
I thought the interior on the Subaru Legacy was so much nicer and comfortable, even though that car was larger and felt like a boat.
So I might end up with a boat-like Legacy instead of the more "nimble" Impreza just on comfort alone. If I am going to compromise on my next car, it will not be on comfort.
My TDI Jetta has:
+MPG
+Power
+Comfort
+Price Point
Next car has to be the same or lower price point. I'll give up MPG and power, but not comfort.
