Ideas for spending dealer "goodwill" money?

Looking for ideas on what OEM parts to buy with $50-100 on the dealer "goodwill" card to close it out. I already got the parts for 40k maintenance and rear window shades. It now looks like I'll return the car before 60k, so that leaves me with $50-100 after getting the 50k maint parts, depending on whether I get the short shifter (8J0711046E).

Any ideas? Part numbers are most helpful :)

Can the dealer loyalty care be used online at vwdrivergear.com, or only at a physical dealer location?

Edit: Just called customer service and no you cannot use the card online, has to be at physical dealer location.

How about a new battery....yu are going to need one someday...and for a tdi it is hard to beat an OEM...just top it off every few months and it will be waiting for you. You might have to pay a $5-10 core...should even be an easy sell locally.

I have just under $100-but I have to use mine at Audi. Yeah-good luck there. Everything costs so much more for Four Rings!! I think I can get a pad of Audi sticky notes for $50. And a Audi Tie Tack for $65.
Sigh. VW Driver Gear is so much better!

Question: If my local VW dealer is also a subaru dealer, could I put the card towards a down payment on an outback for the wife?

Battery, wiper blades and a couple tires.
Talked to dealer - got a discount on the 40K service and used the $500 card to offset almost all of it. This will allow us to keep driving the Golf until 2018 and then decide buyback or fix, as we will have less than 60K on it at that time when it hits 5 years old. Will just need to do an oil change sometime next year and will keep the benefit of the extended warranty already in place with all service performed on time. Just buying time to keep driving while the scenarios and fixes shake out.

I was looking at picking up one or two of the bike racks, but cant find any details about fitment to other (non-OEM) cross bars. Some places online have hinted at them being packaged with the hardware to use them on standard bars, but I haven't found anything concrete, and getting to my local dealer is not all that easy, and I don't really trust their accessory knowledge either based on previous interactions with the parts department.

What I would love to do is be able to use them on my Outback without adding another layer of bars, as well as whatever I end up replacing my Golf with.

Does anyone know if either of the bike racks come with compatible hardware?

I got one of the VW brand bike racks to use with my Audi cross bars (all of which I got with the goodwill cards). The VW bike rack (I think it is this one: https://www.amazon.com/Volkswagen-Bicycle-Holder-Attachment-6Q0-071-128/dp/B004HEFM6C) will work with any normal square bar as well as any bar that has the T-bolt attachment track in it.

OatBunch,

I'd like just some universal cross bars that will clamp onto any cross bars. I have some bike racks that mount to them already, but I do not like the OEM bars on my Suburban. I have about $300 left on dealer credit.

I've got about $150 left.
Battery just died in my '09.
Called up close dealer Saturday - they would have to order the $99.95 "economy special", it would take a week or so, but could install a $250 battery right off. And I couldn't pay for one over the phone I HAD to come in.
So I drive over today, Monday, OH, sorry they are out of it but they'll sell me the $250 battery.
Call up another dealership, twice as far away (all of 7 miles vs 3), they have 5 in stock, and let me pay for it with my goodwill card over the phone
Just wish I had done it in the dealership that couldn't sell me one.

And the core charge is more like $15.

Now what do I spend the rest on? Wish they sold diesel fuel.
