I guess this is not just a Passat related thread but I drive a Passat so I am trying to think of some ideas for a personalized tag. A buddy of mine already got the first one applied for in his state. Feel free to add others if you see the humor in the post.

Vanity plates, bumper stickers, cute window decals- whatever it says about tastes, it attracts attention in a time when I'm not sure that's a good idea. Our cars are black and gray, good ninjamobiles, and nothing other than a dealer tag.

<Amusing but possibly irrelevant -certainly off topic- anecdote follows>

When I used to work for a living, I noticed that a co-worker had put a nice "Mean People Suck" sticker on her bumper. I went in and told her "If you don't care who sees that bumper sticker and decides to take you out, think of your 3 year old in that car seat. Mr. Monster is out there and you may never meet him, but do you want to take that chance? Here's five bucks if you take it off." She took it off.
