heh. As much as I appreciate the advice, I don't think there is a high probability that I will be buying a collie and leaving it around my car as I work. I also don't think I'll be attaching hawks, owls, alligators, statues of Jesus, stuffed elephants, posters of James Bond, etc to the roof of the car. If you guys had your way, my jetta would look like a bag lady's shopping cart.

You guys are funny though.

Since not one person has commented on it... I refer to my prior link. Too bad it isn't an option for the JSW...

How 'bout a car cover with a large, menacing picture of an owl (or huskie) on it... :D

Talk about anal retentive and lashing out for no reason.

If you don't like the thread, why are you taking the time to read it, and ***** about it? It was more of a commentary about the roof rack than a ***** fest on my part.

I hate the roof rack on my 2010 JSW.

Where I park my car at work, there is a "nature preserve" type area, river, trees, giant friggin' birds!

On the first day I drove to work, when I left for the day, I was looking over the car, and it looked great. Except when I looked at the passenger side. Some bird had bird diarrhea all over the door.

When I got home, I cleaned it off.

Second day, same exact thing. All over the door.

I think the birds are landing on the roof rack and then taking a dump on the car. Compare the size of the birds to the park bench. They are pretty damn big.

So tempting to bring a gun and shoot them. But I don't think the office would appreciate it.

I've never had this problem in 5 years with my RX-8.
Slather a little Vick's Vapo-Rub on the roof rack rails. If they are perching on that, they won't for long.

They are buzzards and nothing will get rid of them! We flew them up from Florida because you sent your "Snow birds" down for the winter. Revenge is sweet!:)

hehe.

It's been cold and raining here lately. Last few times in the parking lot have been fine and I didn't see them.

Crossing my fingers they stay away.

I shouldn't have made the last post. I jinxed myself. Bird crap all over the car today. It's weird because it's all by the door and near the door (on the ground) and no where else. I can't believe a bird has this kind of aim.

Going to have to park in a different spot.
