VW botched my change from Emissions Fix to Buyback that I made in October, (once I finalized my registration on the portal) and still managed to email me a final offer including the Fix.
But they've made it possible to change your settlement at any time, right?
Bottom of page 4 of the settlement packet, which I signed and uploaded 11/21:
Please Note: ... If you are changing your selection to the Buyback Offer, you do not need to enclose the notarized release until you receive and accept your revised offer.
So, with me changing my selection, I signed that page, did not enclose the notarized release, and made the Buyback selection on the Portal when I uploaded the packet.
And what do I get twelve days later? An email from VWoA, stating:
Based on our review of the signed offer letter and notarized release you sent us, it was determined that the documents were either missing information or incomplete for your claim
I did precisely as instructed, but through lack of management or training, someone rejected my packet, placing me back in line to wait another two weeks for a reply.
This is the definition of incompetence.
