Hi, guys, I need a little help with my Golf MK7 6mn gearbox.72k km
While I turning left, I hear some humming noise from the right sight front. First the dealership changed the wheel bearing but the nois is still, not gone.
The other thing is, if I runing in Neutral (N) the voice is gone while turning right. just If I use some shift, 2 or 3 and the speed is low. I afriad that's voice coming from the transmission ? it's possible? My car have a factory warranty 1 more year so maybe that cover the transm. service. But it's a litle bit interested because I don't remember our golf mk3 never had like same problem with the transm. under 250k km. But unfortunately in the dealership looks like don't know what is my car problem. :(
If someone hase a same experience please just tell me what can I do with that.

Thanks

I was going to say wheel bearing but after reading the rest im not sure. Just for data collection purposes my vehicle doesnt make the noise you are talking about. Hope you get it sorted.

believe it or not but I got the humming noise too when turning left, I dont think this is normal, its not the wheel bearing I feel like its coming from the differential, changing to a different oil did not fix it either

Thank you guys the answers, I will drop of my car to the dealership sept.1, because I have a factory warranty for the transmission and engine so they will repair, but honestly they don't know now what's is the problem because they don't have any experience like this, so I don't know 🤷 but my concern is, can I just use the car under this 2weeks now, or not? 🤷 so interested because this qoice coming always in 2. And 3 th shift. In the 4th and N almost nothing. So interested. I saw couple of other post, some guys use the car a lot with this same voice and problem, but I don't think so it's good idea, maybe the next 2 weeks is ok and after the dealership guys repair that. What you guys think 🤔?

Our A3 e-tron (same MQB as Golf Mk7) started making noise from somewhere in the driveline. I've pushed/pulled and spun all the wheels, listening with stethoscope and/or long screwdriver on each hub/bearing housing and can't hear anything "bad". Doesn't change when shifting gears (DSG), but the noise does vary with speed, and some difference as well when turning left vs. right. (Left turn makes it more noticeable - making it "sound" like it's coming from right front wheel bearing, but who knows?).

I recently found the DSG fluid to be leaking (probably since the dealership serviced it 2.5yrs ago) due to the drain plug not being torqued properly. So, given we are NOT under warranty any longer, I'm really hoping it is a wheel bearing and not transmission.

For what it is worth. I had this in my 2009 Jetta TDi 6 speed and it originated from the gearbox. Always on a left turn, at higher speeds harder to hear but at low speeds in an intersection at a light very obvious. After hours of research I decided on the path of replacing my gearbox fluid with a redline product (I forget which exact one). This solved the issue altogether, and even in the very cold winters made shifting much nicer when the car was cold. My car I think did it from new and i put up with it for a while (maybe 80k ish). I think the dealer told me that was normal if i recall correctly.

This link was helpful for some background reading. Good luck.

Old post but my 2019 eGolf is doing this. Folks have solved it with G052527A2 VW oil (which is insanely expensive). I just got a liter today and will change mine out and hopefully solve the issue.
