Has anyone done this?
Of course I need ECM and harness but what else?
I have a youth program and we are rebuilding a CJAA engine and I really want to be able to run it prior to putting it in a vehicle (I have 3 JSW and an A3 TDI)

If anyone has experience doing this please post. If not I will share my journey here as well!

Cluster, key, immo reader, accelerator pedal, maybe some CAN controllers, ...

You're looking at needing a disassembled car strewn all over your bench, and then putting it all back into the car along with the engine.

It would be much easier to just do a compression test on the bench.
