I found an old thread from 2004 that mentioned a "photo" button and the same thread in the "How
To" section but there not one to be seen. I'd like to sell an old striped BEW but need a pic.

Is this what you need?

Step 1 - Click the "Media" button in the top bar.

Step 2 - Click the "Add Media" button.and choose the right category.

Step 3 - Click the "Upload File" button, and choose the media you wish to upload.

Step 4 - Add a title and description if desired, then click the save button.

Step 5 - Now that you photos are uploaded, go write up your post, and when you get yo a spot where you need a photo, click the funny looking button in the top bar of you new post, it should say "Gallery Embed" if you hover over it. Choose the photo you want, and it will be inserted in you post.

Now you post will look something like this:
All those lines that say something like "[GALLERY=media, xxxxxx][/GALLERY] will turn into your photos upon posting or when you preview your post.

This is how I posted all the photos in this post.

Hope this is what your looking for.

Thanks Nate that was excellent! This should honestly be the sticky instead of the other one, it’s too confusing with copying links and stuff.
Also just thought I’d mention, on my phone the “funny looking button” is a camera icon, not sure why it’s different on the desktop version.

Thanks, I'm glad it's was clear and helpful.

That makes more sense, I wasn't sure if it was an error icon, or if I just wasn't getting what it was supposed to be.

On my laptop the Gallery Embed button is invisible. If you hover over the space the description pops up, but the button is MIA. This led to some initial confusion on posting photos...

Oh that is strange, I wonder why it does that? I rarely log in from my laptop so I never noticed that before.
