How to bleed off a CR?

I have never ran out fuel in a CR, or had any complications about fuel delivery, I've always been curious how do you bleed off if you are in a situation where you are stranded, I know how to on ALHs, and other diesel engines with IPs but never did it on a CR, it would be nice to know

Scan tool allows an output to run the electric pump, then just crank the engine. Rail pressure builds quickly. Not much volume needed on the high pressure side.
