You have to take off the center console which isn't terribly hard, then there's an adjustment nut at the back of the handle.

not hard at all, but be careful with the brittle plastic of the center console. it can fracture easily.

A quick google search shows the steps, which I followed a few months back. It's very easy. More of a PITA when dealing with plastics that can crack. Be gentle and you will be fine.

Cables likely and yes the interior part is the hardest.

Be aware there are upgraded cables - some vendors here I believe offer them.

We did a procedure that's here with tons of pics. Actually an easy job. Getting the back of the console undone is the worst part. It also has the new part#'s.

There are just too many to list....
Not all cars' consoles are the same, too. While none of them are 'hard', some of them are easier than others. Depends on year, trim level, etc.

Thanks for everyones help i appreciate it. I increased the tention on the cables.

Thanks for everyones help i appreciate it. I increased the tention on the cables. They were loose, but after looking at the rear brake pads they are wearing down. Time to replace them I guess. Does anyone know a cheap place locally to get good ceramic brake pads for front and rears. rotors are fine.

I bet your calipers are sticky.....put a vice grip on one of the ends where the cable attach at the caliper....I bet they are not fully returning to the brake off position. With the way the mechanism works in the caliper, they should not need adjusting. After I adjusted mine for the first time, shortly thereafter I was replacing the caliper.

And I'm going for the cables. :p

So easy to check, too. Just stick your head under the car and look for the rusty swollen part.

Especially the "man made" problem where someone likely originally pinched the cable with a jack or a lift under the axle beam bushing basically at teh front of the rear wheel well. If you're only gonna look one place look there IMO.
