maybe 45k? Got the car with 130? on it...
across 3 engine rebuilds, 5 turbos, 2 transmissions, 3 sets of axles, 3 sets of nozzles

I'm not a good influence.

But the fuel mileage keeps going up!
It actually did for a while, could only get 42 stock, last rebuild with the cut down pistons took a little bit of work in the timing maps to get it back up to the 48 it's been since I got the maps nailed down the first time

I had 60k on my new purchase 09 Jetta TDI when I traded it in on my new purchase 2013 Passat TDI.

I had 60k on my 2013 Passat TDI when I traded it in towards my used 2015 Passat TDI.

My 2015 Passat TDI had 55k when I bought it and is now at 60k. Looking forward to at least 100k miles on this one.

I am really not racking up the miles like a used to.

200K Original Turbo, Camshaft (which looks like new!), Brakes!
2nd Flywheel (120k), Driver's door harness, Injector hardness, alternator pulley, 3rd set of tires, one front wheel bearing.

Only took me 7 years to get to 164k, I moved much closer and work from home about 50% of the time now too.

2005 Jetta TDI GLS Wagon, original owner. 270,300 miles so far. I have replaced the battery twice, just had to finally do the rear brakes, front brakes are still fine. Replaced both O2 sensors. Cleaned throttle body. Fixed some front suspension problems a few years ago. No camshaft problems, so far. Engine is fine, as long as I keep VW techs away from it. I change the oil every 5 to 6,000 miles, whether it needs it or not.

333k on the 2002 Jetta. Automatic made it 272k before dying slowly. With the 5 spd i'm averaging 40-42mpg. Wish I had more highway driving but not so much.

Switching to LED headlight bulbs and disabling the daytime running lights fixed the lightbulb changing ordeal. Malone Stage 1 allows it to accelerate now :) Wish I could figure out the first thing in the morning surging deal...it surges for 5-10 seconds and then idles normally. No codes, no lights, and nothing on VCDS.

80K. Only unexpected expense was a terminally clogged heater core. "It's cold on my side of the car," she said. Bought a full-size spare on a matching wheel.

I am almost ashamed that we have only 360,000 kms. (223.000 mi.) on our '03 ALH Jetta Variant. Have several other cars, but the Jetta tailgate is rusted and it is time to take it off of the road and replace all of the suspension bushings and bearings, as things are starting to loosen up. Bought a rust free tailgate, will buy new VW front fenders and bring the body up to standard. Have had Bilstein/Eibach VR6 wagon springs since nearly new, all perfect there. Ran VNT17 but bad supplier, rebuilt - going to new 17/26 billet wheel and larger SMIC plus a bit more nozzle (not sure about doing 11mm pump) plus lift pump for next few hundred thousand. We have a Q7 TDI to pick up the slack, but I hope it will go back to being our long distance cruiser next summer. Got 620k and 650k out our last to IDI TDs, expect at least that from the ALH.

I drove my '02 Wagon from MA to Wisconsin and back late last week, 2,400 miles in 3.5 days. Didn't miss a beat. Last two fills on the trip were over 50 MPG, and that was cruising at 75 actual MPH (78 indicated). Car passed 377,777 this afternoon. I don't think there's any other vehicle out there better represents the motto of this site: Economy, Longevity, Performance.

Just passed 293k on my 2012 Jetta TDI highline. Been averaging about 50k/yr. Not driving it as much now that I've acquired a Touareg (2016 3.0L TDI) which already has 33k since I bought it in April 2018.

Getting right near 300K Miles. Still going strong. Speakers are blown, door seals need replaced, drivers seat is like a rock, and the wife stills refers to it as "Old Stinky".

Hi! In response to your post, I currently have 96,XXX and climbing. My Uncle has 878,xxx on his 2004 TDI Beetle, which is what prompted me to purchase my 2003 TDI Bug. Took some time to grow accustomed to the clack of a diesel coming out of a little beetle, but, now I love it. I love when people ask me at the gas station "OMG.....DO YOU KNOW YOU ARE PUMPING DIESEL!?!" or "what's wrong with your car, it sounds funny". I just purchased this little tank from a fella who drove it for work. It has what I think of as "low miles" for a diesel, and aside from needing paint, it is in amazing shape. New tires, rotors, pads, and struts! My radio doesn't work (aftermarket) and I am trying now to post a thread about that in hopes that someone could lend some advice. As far as highway speeds, it is running at around 2300 rpms at 70 mph-80 mph.

I took the cash for my 2013 Jetta sedan in 2017 with over 120,000 miles.

In September of 2018, I 'rebooted'. Bought a fixed 2014 Jetta SportWagen with 21,000 miles.

Both 6-speed manual transmissions.

The 2103 would get 43-48 mpg using the car's odometer and the pump's legal-for-trade display.

The heavier SportWagen gets 39.5 MPG every time I check. Same 120 mile-per-day commute.
