Incredible. But I hope he has replaced the 20-year-old timing belt?my brother in law recently bought a 2002 Golf TDI manual with 54 miles on it![]()
first thing he did. he's a diesel mechanic by trade. they also did brakes and replaced the tires. the car still had the plastic on the seats!Incredible. But I hope he has replaced the 20-year-old timing belt?
Umm, where can I get one like that?!? Man that’s wild. Super coolfirst thing he did. he's a diesel mechanic by trade. they also did brakes and replaced the tires. the car still had the plastic on the seats!
7 years later and I'm at 299,000. Just had 3,500 in repairs and maintenance done at Everything Euro. I think the stock turbo is getting weak. Car has. Malone stage 3 tune and would chirp 3rd gear when I got it, 120k miles ago. Now, it's slow to boost and doesn't gitty up like she used to. Hoping to get that looked into sometime this year.
My wife's retirement dropped her mileage to about 4000 a year. Don't know if my retirement will make that big of difference since we'll probably be hitting the highways more. Our miles aren’t racking up anymore as Donna just joined me in retirement. We’ll keep our ALH’s as long as I can stand working on them though. Fantastic little machines
How do you like your 2010 JSW? I’ve been thinking of upgrading just for interior comfort. It would be hard to part with either of our ALH’s though, pretty darn dependableMy wife's retirement dropped her mileage to about 4000 a year. We went from the 2000 beetle to the jsw. It was love at first drive. I put almost 200 miles on my test drive! Comfort and power were the most notable things. Going from 90 horses to 150 is huge. Made it feel like stepping up to a V6 gasser. The one thing I still really miss is the manual tranny but the wife was still recovering from knee surgery so a third pedal was not an option. With still under 160k miles, it has a lot of life left too.How do you like your 2010 JSW? I’ve been thinking of upgrading just for interior comfort.
