I walk to work, the stores, cinema etc., so my '12 TDI only has 45xxx miles on it. But we recently ripped off a fun two-week trip from Western Oregon that covered Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Illinois, Minnesota and Montana. Averaged about 42.5 mpg.

My son's '02 Golf just got new struts, shocks, mounts, rear calipers, and rotors. And an oil change. 290K, 25K of it by him in the last 10 months. That car is a gem.

2.5 years also/32,000. Last of the pre-paid 10,000 miles service visits are now behind me. Next service at 39,999 miles perhaps I can use one of the $500 gift cards.

I really have no complaints. I like the car. Hopefully, the VW engineers will be able to satisfy the 'regulators mindset' (realizing we all need clean air but......)

162,471 on my '10 Jetta TDI DSG. Bought it brand new in Sept. 09. I've had the intercooler issue and 2 exhaust flaps. Other then that it's been great. I love this car and it just makes me want to go for a drive. Too small inside for a family of 4, going on 5, so will probably look at trading it in for a Passat or a Q7.

Wow, that seems like an outlier to me. I have the same year model at 123K miles, 2nd owner and the DPF just failed after my 120K service & timing belt replacement.

New timing belt replaced at 120k service
DPF failed, not yet replaced
AC replaced outside of warranty
radiator replaced outside of warranty
radio replaced under warranty
upper control arm under warranty
