How long does the info center stay illuminated?

Just curious on a 2013 passat, how long is the info center in the center of the cluster supposed to stay illuminated?
Getting in the car I haven't paid much attention other than it comes on as soon as you open the door, But I have not ever just sat in there and not turned on the ignition.
Tonight I just noticed it on long after the doors are closed & interior lights are off. I haven't put a timer on it, but its more than just a couple of minutes thats for sure.

Normal? or Abby Normal?

Well, I just figured out out. It was because the hood was open. With the hood open the info center stay on for 5 minutes after the doors are closed. Hood Closed, it turns off with the interior lights. Kinda weird, but it appears to be ok.
