How is the stereo on the new TDI Passat?

Question for new owners of the TDI Passat - how is the stereo in these cars? The VW website doesn't list Monsoon as an option or standard, just the Premium V (or whatever) sound system standard.

Would this car be better served with an aftermarket CD player installed?

Hmm, I just saw monsoon as an option on the GL...this was on vw.com

It says Monsoon on the front of the radio in the car I drove......

Our Passat TDI is the Monsoon and it sounds great.

Hmmmmm, the website has contradicting info. The spec readout on the right hand side of the build-your-own option says "Premium V AM/FM w/single CD/cassette player" but down on the list on the left hand side under the heading Entertainment Features it says "8 Monsoon Speakers." This was building a GLS model. The GL model has the same readout on the right side, but the left side under Entertainment Features does not say Monsoon. However, when adding options to the GL model you can add the Monsoon stereo.

I'm at a loss to explain the differences, but I guess the Monsoon comes standard with the GLS and a few niggling labeling mistakes don't completly show that on the website.
