Just picked up my new car and the seatbelt chime is driving me crazy is there a way you can turn it off with a vag-com and if so how. Would also like to turn off the egr if I can

just wear your seatbelt like you'e supposed to ;) but if need to for some reason it can be disabled with VCDS

As for EGR, don't think it's possible like the MKIV's

you have to get a tune and violate all emissions in order to kill EGR.

If you buckle your seatbelt the chime will turn off.

What do you want to turn off the EGR?

EGR is an essential part of the DPF so you can't turn it off. That said it shouldn't soot your intake since the recirculated gas has already passed through the Diesel oxidation cat and the DPF.

I turned off my seatbelt chime because my laptop rides in the passenger seat sometimes and if there's anything else in my backpack it sets off the chime. The setting is in the instruments section.
