How do you get the plastic engine cover off?

Just got the Mk V Golf Tdi 2.0 DSG. I cant work out how to get the plastic engine cover off so I can check out the EGR system.

Took mine off a while back, just trying to remember.
I think there is ONE nut at the back (nearest the windscreen) and the rest just comes off as you pull it, just clipped in. There will be some foam under there as well that you'll need to take out if you (like me) are planning to run without it.

Yeah I found the nut at the back. I did'nt want to yank at it to much in case I broke something.

So why are you planning to run without it?

I am curious as well Josh - why are you going to run without it ?

Surely it provides noise suppression properties and keeps the thermal heat in during colder months when it takes a while for the engine to heat up ?
