Anybody from AZ listening? Watching? Hell, I'll even settle for somebody SMELLING the post. Just in case, I'll make it smell like bacon. :D

Sound off like you've got a pair...um...of valves. Per cylinder.

Even SWTDICLUB (formerly AZTDIClub) is pretty dead lately.

Life in AZ? Since I left? Naw....;)

But since you're still there, I have a quick question. Is there anyone local to Phoenix that knows the injection pumps on the A3/A4 generation well?

I might have some business for such a person.

I just moved To Wittmann. Who would you go to in the west valley to get your timing checked?
I'd check out http://www.sparkfree.com.

Formerly known as AZTDIClub and then SWTDIClub, SparkFree is mostly a few TDI owners in Arizona, but hoping to be another place to go for TDI info and GTGs focusing on the Southwest US.

If nothing else, I have VAG-COM, but I'm in Mesa. If you can get anywhere near here, I'll be glad to hook 'er up and check for you.

WOOHOO!

So, how about that GTG that ssamalin mentioned? You up for it?

Maybe we could get AZBiodiesel involved too. They don't have a LOT of room, but I'm sure we could collectively figure out something.

Not into my TDI much latly. More into my Jeep. And what would we do at a GTG? If anyone wants to change my TB than I can do a BBQ :)

I have an 06 jetta 5m, mileage is about 26/36 city/hwy. I never actually tried to measure it. When I'm on the road, I fill up every 400 miles or so about 11 gallons guestimated. City? I have no idea, maybe less than 26. The high miles per tank is good enough for me; on the road, not having to worry about running out or finding my next fill is worth the extra expense and hassle of this car. It's safe, excellent to drive, and has terrific power on the highway. I just hope the cam job doesn't blow me off the road, I don't have 4k to spare right now.

It's gotten sleepy here in AZ on the TDI scene...it's just kind of faded away :( We haven't had a GTG in a long time.

Anybody know a dealer or vendor that would host a GTG? We could just meet somewhere too, like lunch at a Flying J.

OK, I think I see why your gtgs are dying off...you don't eat lunch at a Flying J...you get fuel there, and possibly you purchase some Diesel Kleen, but that is it...:).

We are having high temps here, but my friend in Phoenix has been sending unbelievable snaps of the forecast for that place... ...drive over to NM, I can attest that the monsoons are working, and cooling off the place, lol...and you can get green on your cheeseburgers there at McDonalds, too! Now THAT is where you should have lunch...at a place where you can get green on any burger there :))

We could take over a bunch of tables in a corner. Any better ideas? Never having been at a real GTG I don't know any better. NM is a maybe I guess.

Another Arizonan chiming in. I'm currently without a car until I can figure out my turbo intake pipe problem. I may have to resort to taking it to the stealership in north Scottsdale. Ugh! Can anyone recommend good VW mechanics around here?

Excellent! Some life, finally. :D

New Mexico is doable, but I'd like to keep it here if we can.

I'll try to wake up the SparkFree(.com) crew and see if we can get something put together, possibly with AZBiodiesel's help.

How does the first or second weekend of August (1-2 or 8-9) sound?

WHO'S IN? Line up here: ---->

I may be working either in South Dakota or Arizona before August. I'll know this week. I have 80k and may need a cam job before I'd drive to SD. I need to get a Harvieux appointment to check my cams. I can't make plans until at least a week.

Take it to Derek at Exklusiv on Cave Creek. He knows TDI's.
