I recommend doing it ... I love hearing the turbo spool
and the richer exhaust note.
I would suggest having the exit straight or angled slightly (45 degrees) to reduce/eliminate the drone at highway speeds. For a short stint, it's not too bad; but after a few hours on the road, I find it annoying. Of course, maybe I'm more sensitive in that freq range than others.
If you plan on being in Galveston, you are more than welcome to have a listen (as long as a dirty car doesn't upset your delicate sensibilities

Or if you're up near Magnolia, you can listen to mine. After having this done ~3 years ago, I like it more than ever. My wife wouldn't allow me to do this to hers (along with all the other cool mods) and when I drive hers, I feel like a fish out of water. I can tell you what rpm I'm at within 100 just by the exhaust note. Best $40 I spent on the car.
