nice! Mine's at 178k and still chugging flawlessly!
Chugging flawlessly - from my USNR days on board an old ammunition ship - would mean essentially no repair issues.

Have I got that right?

My 2010 Jetta sedan is at 78K.
I bought her in December with 70k and so far there have been no issues aside from replacing the original battery a week after I drove it 600 miles home. I haven't decided if I want to proceed with this latest Emissions Service Action or not just yet.

The car's history that was verifiable includes only routine maintenance and one glow plug replacement. My DPF regens normally and my ash levels are normal for my mileage at 78 ml. I typically use Shell diesel or Chevron and the only issue I can find is that occasional stutter at around 2000 RPM in 3rd gear.

I hope I am not jinxing myself by sharing this little story but I think good stories belong on the forums to offset some of those that can lower the VW reputation.

Just turned over 108K in my 2010. Last car payment is scheduled for the 24th of this month!
My dad had a '68 GTO. Just paid it off. It was parked on the side of the street when a guy in a plumbing truck fell asleep and smashed the Goat into a telephone pole, totalling it.

Just trying to send some karma you way.... :D

Passed 60k on my 13 month old 2014 JSW. Love this thing more and more.

That's impressive (mine is a 2013 JSW TDI) for a very young vehicle.............

Aren't they efficient (space, fuel numbers) and fun (easy clutch/shift, brake action and road 'feel')?

Just about at 60k in my 13' wagen! But that also means it's almost due for an oil change. :(

My recent purchase: 2010 Jetta TDI with 156389 miles. Runs like a champ, and carfax showed regularly oil changes at a VW dealership.Fingers crossed, 2 Micron setup coming soon.

Just went back and reread this thread and it gives me great hope. My 13 JSW will turn 70k today with the drive I have scheduled. Bought new February 2013. Still young :)

...y'all really help allay my premonitions with these (mostly) positive reports...............

I still worry about the HPFP, DPF et al (but following this thread sure helps).

all the best from our left coast,

Also Worried

I have almost 129,000 miles on my 2010 JSW TDI. No major problems. Have replaced all 4 wheels and rear wheelbearings. Front brakes are original. I do most maintenance except DSG and recently timing belt/water pump.

I am worried about the HPFP...no coverage officially after 120,000 makes me think about selling now. Would love to move discussion in this direction. Keep or sell?

I replaced my wheels too. Not because I had to though. Gone through 2.5 sets of tires in 107k miles. 1 set of brake pads, 45 liters oil, 10 oil filters, fuel filters, wiper blades, brake fluid, yada yada yada. Worrying about future catastrophes doesn't accomplish anything.

Had mine for a month, put 2300 miles on it and its going good, it is a 2012 6mt with now 73500 miles. After learning a few things to get better mpg i can get about 35 around town, which is awesome.

If you keep it, you stand a ~2% chance of losing money.

If you sell it, you stand a 100% chance of losing money.

A full HPFP implosion costs somewhere in the neighborhood of $7-8k. If you sell, you lose a few-thousand-$k in depreciation. If you keep it, your car is lessening its depreciation every year.

I think my car blue-books for $9-10k. I'm at the point where if the HPFP goes, the cost of repair = the value of the car.

Best bet: Put a '2micron' contain-flow and pure-flow kit on your car. This will cost a few hundred $, but will lessen the amount of damage/contamination in the event of an HPFP blow-out. Consider it insurance. This drops the price of an HPFP blow-out to maybe $2500.

I'm fine with off-topic discussions, but there are other threads for other topics, so I think we should continue to keep this thread for posing high-mileage success stories. We need it. We have enough threads about woes. This one is a nice bright spot on the forum.

172,000 and climbing. ;)

Just rolled over 103K miles on my '10 TDI. I don't really consider that "high" since I've got almost 400K on my Cummins and my Jetta is still the lowest mileage vehicle I've ever owned.

132k miles 2010. I was wondering when you all get your belts changed. I got mine done at 80k... Was thinking of getting them done (and waterpump) next service call.

Most of us follow the owner's manual and do the timing belt at 120,000 miles, and get the serpentine belt changed at the same time, along with water pump, tensioner, etc.
