Is it funny because it is not possible to have that many miles and run excellent also ?? please advise because I own this car and would love to know what your point is and the original text never read 320k miles it read 392k miles which is what it is. the reason the mileage is now deleted in the ad is so I would have the opportunity to explain the reason for the mileage. most people would not consider any vehicle with those kind of miles. if anyone wants to consider purchasing it message me. the bottom dollar price is 6500.00 and it really does run perfect book value even with the 3k dollar deduction for milage is way over what I am selling it for. this car could be heading for the TDI high mileage record

I bought the car on spec from the guy who serviced it. so all my info is second-hand and may be considered worthless by some. But I can honestly say the car drives and runs and looks incredible, I have an o3 with 50k miles and I swear on my dead relatives graves, I can't tell the difference in the way it drives, the car has new tires and brakes and the timing belt is due to be changed at 400k miles. I was told that the car was used by someone [non-smoker] who drove from Tampa fla to Naples Ft. Pierce, Daytona and then back to Tampa everyday picking up and delivering laboratory samples from hospitals hence the extremely high mileage in less than 4 years the steering wheel shows some wear but the rest of the interior is remarkable, there are however plenty of scratches on the rear bumper cover, some on the front bumper cover and numerous rock chips on the hood and a small crack in the windshield on the passenger side but for the money it is a steal. There is zero front end wiggle and it brakes true and straight. Also there is zero smoke when starting cold I did not believe it either until I drove it. Thanks for the advice Newbury

Thanks for giving the club more info on your sale. I apologize for getting the mileage wrong. Typically, an ad for a car with such high mileage comes from someone with no knowledge of the car and hence the reason for mileage sounded 'typical'.

Any further information on the car, such as length of time that you owned the car, total mileage during your ownership and records that are available. This info would help a potential buyer. We TDI fans are more fanatical than most. Also, the type of oil used would also be a plus.

That being said, I wish you luck with your sale.

ps. I found your car since I am thinking of getting another TDI, but after getting hosed on my last Hi-mileage diesel by the insurance company after getting rear ended, I will pass. Good luck none-the less.

while I don't have the service records it would stand to reason that it was impeccably maintained, I purchased it from the mechanic who serviced it for the guy who owned and drove it. [ he was selling it for him] I was told by the mechanic the oil was changed every 2 weeks which is understandable seeing it was being driven in excess of 100k per year. whoever ends up buying will also not believe the odometer correct as it drives perfect. the only minor noise is from the throw-out bearing. It still has the original clutch and bearing and it does not slip but I would expect it would need to be replaced in the future at some point. I only bought the car on spec thinking it might need a few things fixed and then sell it for a profit. I did change the accessory drive belt and tensioner it has a fresh synthetic oil change and a full tank of fuel. the TB is due at 400k
