High cetane diesel outside of Indy

I will be traveling through Indy on my way to Wisconsin in a few weeks, and from previous trips have needed fuel outside of Indy.
Is 47 cetane (or cetane higher than 40) available on I70 east of Indy or I65 north of Indy? If available, what stations and at what exits is it available?

Thanks,

Todd

In my travels I've never seen cetane reported other than "minimum 40". You might find some B20 in the area. Or a good dose of diesel additive.

I'd look for a CountryMark. Their Diesel-R is 50 Cetane and it has a 460 wear scar.

They're located all over Indiana. Use their locator to find a station on your route.

On my last drive from Chicago to St. Petersburg, FL, I filled up in Lebanon, IN. I drove all the way to a Pilot on the west side of Atlanta, about 550 miles before my fuel light came on. Diesel-R is some good stuff.

Looked at the CountryMark map on their website, looks like the station in Lebanon will work. I can fill up in VA with 47 cetane before starting the trip, and make it to Lebanon on that tank. Fill up in Lebanon, travel to Elkhart Lake, WI, top up the tank before returning, and top off in Lebanon with 50 cetane on the return trip, and then back to the local station.
Found the local station that has 47 cetane a few weeks ago, and have noticed improvement in drivability and mileage, hence I would like to use the higher cetane.

Thanks for the help,

Todd

The station in Lebanon is tiny, and I think they close early, but keep their pumps on for credit card transactions...I filled up around 830 at night.

What station are you hitting up in Elkhart? I know of a BP in Lomira that sells higher cetane. Also, some fleet and farms sell Koch Gold, which is supposed to be pretty good. I had good results from a tank of Quik trip diesel from the Madison area.

I am hoping and expect the Lebanon station to have pumps available 24/7, it will be the middle of the night when we stop. No idea where we will get fuel around Elkhart Lake, either in Elkhart Lake or somewhere around Plymouth.
I do not remember last year if we needed fuel while there or got it on the way back home. We are staying at Road America, so while we are there, we only need to drive around the track and into Elkhart Lake for supper and supplies.

tactdi, I use the Lebanon CountryMark station. They have four diesel pumps with Premium-R diesel. Also, although it's not marked on the pumps, the diesel has 5% bio (owner's option) and the tanks are checked for water. Lebanon is a farm town and the station is not too pretty but I always see a lot of city and county trucks there.

Stopped in Lebanon on the way up and back to fill up. While up in Elkhart Lake, I ensured I had a 1/2 tank to get back to Lebanon on the return trip.
Drove 1800 miles, with a calculated 45 MPG for the trip. Used the 47 cetane local fuel and the Country Mark Premium. Using the higher cetane fuel, I do notice a 3 MPG or so improvement. Also, the car suffered from the stuck vane issue, using the higher cetane fuel, I have not experienced the vane sticking.

Something to segway along with this, I have observed something similar. There appears to be a difference between normal pump fuel, pump fuel + cetane boosting additive, and pump fuel + cetane reducer.

The effective timing change of each manifests itself in sound/feel, lag, EGTs and boost spikes. As best I can figure, the effective timing change (as it relates to cetane) changes exhaust flow and/or EGTs. The same may apply for static or dynamic timing changes too.
