HEY FRED I have a question

Have you ever received any of the frame money Jeff is supposed to be giving you? Its been 7 months since Jeff cashed my check and he has not sent the frame or a refund as I have requested, nor has he felt the need to respond to my email to him. I just want to be sure you are getting what he is claiming to be doing with the money. I for one think we need to cut out the middle man and just send you the money. I believe it would save alot of bitterness and hard feelings.

Cut Jeff some slack. He is not trying to screw anybody over. I placed my order for my frame on September 22nd and received it in the mail this Monday (October 25). It is now on the car proudly looking back at traffic as I pull away.

Maybe if you stopped bad mouthing Jeff in these forums he would reply to you. A little politeness goes a long way in the world.

As someone said before, I will send you my plate frame today and order another for myself and put it on when it gets here.

Those are the facts until he steps up and refutes the allegations. I'd be doing more than complaining here about it if it was me. Dosen't matter if it's $1 or $1000.

It's not good to assume an accused person is guilty. I'm not suggesting this is the case in this instance, but it would suck to support false claims.

How do you know he didn't send it? Perhaps the USPS ate it. What we do know is that you didn't get it, or do we? You see how easy it is to twist that. I ordered, I waited, I got. Did you add your name to the list or did you just send a check. I didn,t see it there, but I may be mistaken. I spoke with Jeff while waiting for mine and was given a reasonable explanation for the wait. You have had offers from others to give you a replacement, but that does not seem to satisfy you. Perhaps you seek the "pound of flesh" oft cited from the Merchant of Venice. What DO you expect?

The issue here is Jeff isn't responding, at all. I just ordered plates a month ago and have gotten them already, but I'd feel just as upset if it took 7 months.

If there was some sort of mix-up on the shipping end, fine. But Jeff should at least communicate that to him. From everything I've read, that doesn't seem to be happening.

In Sparetime's defense, he put his name on the list...yeah, a little late 'cause he didn't understand that he was supposed to add it himself...but he asked on at least 2 occasions to have his name added...then when he didn't get his plateholder, he put his name on the list, asking for a refund...and that request has been there on the list for almost 2 months. In any case, he paid in APRIL, and it's now almost NOVEMBER, and he has not received his order, nor his money back, nor any answers from Jeff. Does this seem right to you?

It's not a matter of giving someone the benefit of the doubt...when someone refuses to communicate, something's wrong, and it should be addressed.

No offense meant to anyone, but let's not jump on someone who has a legitimate complaint. Sparetimetoys has a legitimate complaint. He should be able to communicate it.

I EXPECT to get what I paid for in a timely maner or if Jeff is unable to fullfill his obligation HE should send a refund. If perhaps he has sent it give me a tracking number. But his lack of a responce shows me he has no concern for his customers. Its called service if you offer to sell something than you make good on your offer. You could call it standing behind your word.

I seem to recall something about complaints to the postal inspector, etc. If you expect someone to respond to you after that sort of action you must be living in lala land. In Jeff's defense, there certainly does not seem to be any intent to defraud anyone, inasmuch as it appears that you are the one and only unresolved complaint. If you read the information about the way the purchase of the frames was handled, you would know they are sent by regular mail and not UPS or Priority Mail with tracking numbers.

You still did not answer the question. What do you want? I'll send you a refund myself because I know from my one conversation with Jeff that he has a full time job, does not do this frame business to get rich quick, donates some of the proceeds to this web site, and I believe that he would not intentionally have ignored you until after you demonstrated your charming personality to us. If you promise just to be quiet and go away, fax me a copy of the front and back of your check, and I will send you a bank check for the $11.00. Now put up or shut up.

And I think most of us believe that this was just a misunderstading, all that's needed is for Jeff to respond.

I understand that he's a busy guy, but I'm sure he has 5 minutes to respond by email. I have a full time job and go to school, yet I still have time to check emails and respond. If not everyday, at least once a week.

Not trying to stir s*** up, just think that Sparetoys has a valid reason to complain.

I am not going to opine one way or another on this particular issue between these two individuals. But on another forum that I frequent, some people mention the ftc rule when there are alleged issues concerning payment and non-shipment. Read about the ftc rule below. Its very interesting.

That FTC page is great information. Ever notice how Amazon usually lists things as "ships in 24 hours" but when you get the order confirmation it gives several days? It would seem they aren't following these FTC rules. Of course, they probably cover their butt in their terms and conditions.

I guess some folks can not read. In answer to RFRIEND what I want is the same as what I expect just what I paid for or a full refund . I guess since you are such a good friend of Jeff and know his busy schedual next time you talk to him inform him he should send out my frame and if he is so swamped perhaps he should go out of the frame business and relax awhile. Let the new frame guys take over. I do not want your refund you are not obligated to me for anything Jeff is.

Try this. Send an E Mail to the 2 addresses he's showing as contacts, and a PM. Make sure you ask for a "Read Reciept" on all of them. If you recieve a read reciept and still no answer, something stinks.

This really should be sorted one way or another by now. 7 months without a reply is just not on.

I am neither a friend nor an acquaintance of Jeff but I am somewhat tired of your ongoing tirade. I made you an offer and as of yet you have not responded to it. If what you want is your refund I offered it to you, but it does not seem that is what you really want. I was involved in a service business for many years and the maxim that states: "The customer is always right" continues with "until he proves himself othersise." When you make every offer to an irate customer and they will still not be satisfied then the only thing left to do is hope they go away. Since another member offered you his plate frame, and you did not accept that, and I offered you your $$'s and you have not accepted that, I guess we're at the last alternative. It is apparent that nothing we can do will make you happy, so I wish you well in your misery.
