2015 Golf hatchback (purchased used in December 2021 to replace the 2015 Sportwagen (purchased new in Sept. 2017) that I totalled. :( Former TDIs: 2006 Jetta sedan (FLOODED -- Thanks, Hurricane Harvey); 2009 JSW (FLOODED-- thanks, Hurricane Harvey!)
AC is cool (NOT cold) on the driver side, and very warm on the passenger side. Any ideas?

2015 Golf TDI w/GSW. About 86,000 miles.

Sorry? I'm not sure what you mean.

Oh, OK. Does that require VAG-Com? Thanks!

Yeah, nothing came up when I had a parts store pull the OBD-II codes.
OK, thanks.

Obd codes won't tell you anything. You need a scan tool which will access the hvac module.

ODB Eleven is also another option (but i despise their subscription model)

they can read BCM codes, like door lock issues or window regulator issues.

Once things are on a CAN network, lots and lots of status and trouble codes can be stored to help tossing parts at non issues.

Unless it's a grandfathered in thing, I have an OBD Eleven and don't pay for a subscription / tokens / credits and can access all of its features. The subscription thing is for their "one click apps" that allow users who don't know about coding and whatnot to easily change settings.

Edit 8/13/24: looks like it is a grandfathered in thing. My OBDEleven subscription tier says "PRO LIFETIME." Sorry to those who didn't get it.

I had to reup my "pro" subscription when trying to clear codes on my inlaws 2024 atlas to just be able to toggle off the seat belt alarm. The frigging app even had me set up two factor authorization to disable some new fancy layer of security.

I still have 190 tokens for those apps but they never seem to work.

I bought my pro in 2022ish I think.

Yeah, the original ones didn't have the subscription, I have a subscription as the nice thing about it is I can throw it in my glove box and take it with me to look at cars or with me on road trips. And some of the coding things can be nice once you figure it out.

But won't do jack if you don't have cell/data service. It's not all the time I don't have cell service but it seems networks are getting worse and worse in some areas i pass through.

I feel like thats the only downfall of that unit. If it didnt rely on cell service/data, then it would be great. I use an old phone for mine and I need to hot spot it because its the old version that was for android only.

Yep, that is another downside of them. I like using the Hex-net interface I have, as it doesn't need data signal, though it won't do as much without that.
