This thread is in reference to my 2004 MKIV BEW Jetta. When the temps get cooler it becomes more and more difficult to start and keep running. The glow plugs were changed to the new ones under the recall. The ECM was re-mapped at the time of the recall. When it is cool to cold out and you attempt to start it, the car will either start and cut out immediately or start and run at a very low idle (400-500) and preform what I call lobing. Now the car has 205K and the cam was replaced at approx. 200K. Has anyone else experienced this problem or have an idea as to what might be causing it? Any ideas would be appreciated.
