I have a 2002 Jetta tdi. I bought it had the timing kit done . Cat was clogged had it hollowed out. Was driving it for two weeks and the injector return line started leaking . Ordered new lines put them on now the return line cap keeps shooting off every time the car is running . Any ideas ?

Did you replace the cap? Are you truly "plugged into" the return line to the tank or did you.....ahem.....forget abooooot that?

The injectors fuel return line pressure should not blowing the little cap off. Inspection the line to the injection pump have any blockage.

New cap for it. Blew air though the return line that goes back to the fuel tank and the t on top of the filter . Ran good no leaks for a day or so then just blew the cap again started pissing fuel let it sit for about 20 min then fired it back up no leaks. Do you think the #1 injector could be gummed up ?

Wrong return line. Check the one from injectors to injection pump.

Adding a lift pump is a common upgrade. It does not cause the issue you reported.

There isn't one.
Unlikely. Return flow from the injectors is very low pressure, that's why there are no clamps on the return lines. Have you verified nothing is preventing flow from the injectors back to the injection pump?

I'd really like to see a high res photograph of the fuel return lines. Never heard of this problem before!

Sounds like the lines are crossed. The 2002 didnt come stock with a lift pump.
