Help, looking for a TDI Jetta in the Maritimes!

Well, I need to find a 2000-2002 Jetta GLS TDI 5 speed (more options, the better), I had (key word here being HAD, it was written off, too long a story for here) a very nice 2000 GLS loaded, but have been looking for a replacement for quite a while now. Every VW dealer in NS is looking for me, but either I find one thats a slushbox, or it has too many kilometers for my taste, or has no options. (I must have alloys, CD, and a moonroof, and leather is nice to have too). I've been checking out the auctions as well, all to no avail. I thought I would give you guys a hollar, and see if you know of any,. My price cap is $19000 or lower and I will take any color as long as it has the black interior (not tan). Let me know if you see any (NS preferred, but NB or PEI is ok). Thanks a bunch

A higher KM TDI is not a bad idea as well. I mena it limits your options looking for something under 100,000 since every TDI owner drives 40,000 + a year (generally speaking). I bought mine with 170,000 on it /images/graemlins/shocked.gif

That sucks about your TDI. Do you know where it is? Id like some parts....???

Well, I know its unfortunate, but I may be buying an 01 Jetta Wolfsburg Edition 1.8T, its not a TDI (far from it actually), but its a very nice unit, and its limited availibility makes it somewhat appealing, plus the dealer is willing to sell it to me VERY cheap. I'm going to take it overnight tommorow to see how I like it. Plus its a CPO unit, so no worries there. What do you guys think of the 1.8T WE's anyway? Oh, btw, its black on black, and loaded.
P.S. The only reason I'm considering this in the first place, is I've been looking for almost 2 months for the "perfect" TDI, and I'm tired and frustrated at this point, /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Well if you got it really cheap you may consider a trade in the future for the perfect TDI. As well the 1 8 T is a nice ride, especially the WE. Not too bad on fuel too, as long as your not on the pedal all of the time.

Hey Pozi, I just looked under canadatrader.com I found about 20 TDIs in the 12,000-18,000 range with anywhere from 90,000kms-207,000 kms. GL's, and GLS's.

If you don't take that 1.8 T , would you let me know? a friend of mine is looking and does not see the TDI light. Also how much is the dealer asking ? if you don't mind..
