Need more info--Jetta or Golf? Or is it an Audi A4, which is a B-chassis car (A4 in forum title refers to chassis, not a model name)? Pics help too.

I got condensation inside both of my properly sealed headlights when the weather went cold. Ran a boot drier into them overnight and they have been fine since.
Maybe look into better tape? Make sure you didn’t block the drain hole?

Keep in mind there are two ports, protected by rubber snouts to let the headlights breathe and dry themselves. Now you do not want the lens/bucket interface to leak, but those lights are no where near 'sealed'

yeah removed the outer cover the one held with 2 screws and the tape on indicator cover had come away, thinkin to drill hole in outer cover and put a rod of some type through which will sit against battery cover and indicator bulb cover to make it a tight fit, so seals up like it would if clip hadden broke off.
