ISSUE: my OEM headlights put out terrible light. It’s the old fashioned yellowish halogen capsules and they just light the roadway very good at all. My lens are clear with no yellowing or dull film.

I know this is a big topic on here but I’m hoping for some recommendations regarding LED upgrades. I’ve bought the cheap LED versions that replace the halogens but they simply don’t light well and I get error codes constantly.

I’m 66 and don’t see as well at night now, so I need good headlamps.

Thanks in advance.

if you're old, blueish lights, such as 6000K, wont help you "see" anything any better.

i'd say invest in osram lazers, $30 halogens on amazon.

deAutoLED.com sells a HID kit specifically for VWs with the halogen reflector-style headlights. I have a set with 5K (color temp) bulbs and they are a massive improvement over the halogen low beams. No bulb out errors and no glare issues either. Do a search for them on this site. I highly recommend them.
