I have no experience in rebuilding 1.9 TDI ALH heads that were damaged when the tensioner stud broke. I contacted Frank Irwin out of Missouri, who repaired them about three years and 30,000 miles ago. However, he has injured his foot, putting him way behind on taking on new jobs. Can anyone recommend someone else? Frank sent me steps and is putting together a rebuild kit to send me. I would rather send the kit and steps to someone who has the experience. Now, if the head doesn’t need resurfacing and I had a great video, then maybe I could attempt it myself, but I am very busy, and it would be much easier to allow someone with experience to complete the job. Any recommendations???
