ALH is not PD :) . And I guess the head is different - probably like most of the 1.9TDI with rotor pump.

Check here - http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=354031, my last post. I'm currently running with metal head gasket from VW Golf 3 1.8ABS petrol engine. It happened to match my piston protrusion.

We are using ACV pistons, I had to cut a recess in the pistons for the oil squirrels as they don't match up. And it doesn't really matter what pistons are going in, as long as you are going more than 1.5mm oversize on an ALH block, the BHW gasket will do fine. Just make sure to check piston protrusion!
